Both have the 5.7 and 4l60E transmission?

Is the torque convertor the same for both cars, I have a 3000 stall Tci on my 2001 and want to put a 3500 on it and a friend of mine is willing to purchase my 3000 stall will it fit ?

They are both 4L60e's like you said, but Tom is right, they have some differences and the torque converters will not swap. I know from experience a nice little converter company sent me the wrong converter for a buddy's car i was doing the swap on, needless to say i had to do the swap twice for the price of one. Come to find out they sent him a converter for an LS1.
