LS1 to LS6 block swap
Will it work? I'm hopefully going to be getting an 02 LS6 short block. Not sure yet on what heads cam etc. I just want to make sure that all my accerories will hook up like altenator ac etc. Reason I'm wondering, isn't the altenator on a vette on top and on the Fbody it on the bottom, just want t be sure the brackets and eveything will bolt in where i need them. Any insight on this endever would be great.
Thanks
Thanks

just curious....if youre gonna put in a new shortblock, why not go past the ls6 and get somethin a lil more badass. i know one of our sponsors has a 402/408 shortblock for around 3500 i believe.

Lots of options out there for relatively good money.
BTW, to answer your original question the blocks are identical externally and all the components will bolt right up, even the truck blocks/heads. The alternator/AC compressor locations are the same except for the truck accessory drives. Truck vs car is different and might be what you are thinking of.
