Default How to tell if head has been milled?

Is there a measurement I can take of a LS1 head to check if it has been milled? i.e. Deck surface to valve cover gasket surface? If so anyone have the measurement offhand?

241 casting

Thanks

If you measure at the end of the head, from valvecover rail to the deck of the head, the unmilled measurement should be 4.750"

It was difficult to come up with exact repeatable #s from my dial caliper but I kept getting 4.748 So for all intensive purposes they are unmilled? How much is usually taken off when just resurfaced? .001 or so?

Default height of LQ9 head

Can you tell me what the height of an LQ9 head is? I'm trying to determine how much I can mill to achieve a compression ration of 10.5:1 or so on an LS1 block with a 224/224-114 cam without piston to valve problems. Thanks for your help.
