Hey guys new here and needs some advice.
I just purchased a 2000 LS1 from a WS6. The motor is a stock and it has the 4l60e tranny with it. I got a complete pullout with motor, tranny, ecu, wiring harness, o2 sensors, driveshaft everything. Now the engine has 89k miles on it and I have been told that the pushrods suck in these cars. And I would like to know what else to look for as far as some weak parts. This will be going in my 57 chevy pickup truck. So I would like you guys to tell me what I need to replace. I just read another post and see that it says that the oil pump is bad on these with when they get higher miles on it.

I don't think you need to upgrade anything if you are going to run it in stock form. Just drop it in the truck and go. Now if you want to hop it up with a cam, then definitely upgrade the springs, pushrods, rockers, chain and oil pump. You might even want to change out the lifters. But none of this is necessary unless you are going to stuff a big cam in there and raise the rev limiter above stock.
