Default WTF is wrong with my times?

My times dropped off after the newest cam install. I recently switched to the TSP MS3 my last cam was a custom grind of 232-238 592 @113 Today I'm dissapointed went ran a days best N/A was

.640
1.852
5.100
7.737
94.242
This on Sumitomo HTR + all seasons no NOS

Last cam same tires no NOS

.570
1.630
4.855
7.563
90.925
Yes I had a better 60' with the old cam, but I had more MPH with this one. Is somethimg wrong here? I have a 4000 stall but still running 3.23 gears could that be the problem?
I wanted to spray so bad but after two trash runs I decided to go home and play it safe. Thanks for any help you offer

you've got a 22 hundredths worse 60 foot, but it's become only 17 hundredths by the 1/8 mile, and you can probably eliminate another 5-7 hundredth in the 1/4 mile. If you aren't hooking, then comparing timeslips will only get you best guesses. You're mph gaining about 3.5 in the 1/8 will be good for about 5-7 in the 1/4, and that's a pretty decent hp pickup! Your gearing could be holding you back by not allowing the engine to hit the power band quickly enough and getting through each gear quick enough (a common problem when you overcam a combo when the rest isn't up to snuff). The cam has helped you in power, but useable power (again guessing b/c I don't know if you're hooking) it hasn't.

So if I step to a 3.73 That should get me where I want to be NA? I understand how you broke down the comparison of the two times. I didn't take the time to think about it. .22 difference in the 60' with the old cams favor but I finished only .17 behind it so I gained .07 on my old setup. So if I got the same 60"this time I would have improved over all. I should have thought of that.

i wouldn't invest ANY more money on "go fast" mods until you can get the car to 60' like it used to. 2/10 difference in the 60' can equate to almost 4/10 in the quarter. IMO the two runs are not comparable. Put a decent tire on the car and get it to 60' like it used to and then you can see how well the new cam performs compared to the old one.

Also how was the weather on the two runs? was one warmer or colder than the other....was there more humidity in the air for one run compared to another. It's not correct to take two runs from two different days where the conditions were not similar and say there is something wrong with the times.

Temp was around the same 55* These are just strret tire runs for me testing thing out before the season. I get a few of these runs down the way I wan't before I go back to using my drags and nitrous thats when I get the 1.4x 60' I just didn't see the gain till it was explained. My mph being up is going faster I just need the lower 60' Next week I'll use the DR's and spray I'll get it posted up thanks guys
