Default WooHoo, Finished Installing the 2001 Intake

It started right up too. I couldnt believe it. It was a pain getting the old one off but it was easy installing the new one since you learn where all the hoses and connectors go. If there was no egr, air, and pcv hoses it would make it so much easier. Damn emmisions garbage.

For all those that are wondering if it makes a big difference on a stock engine, probably not. I replaced the stock lid with the ls1 motorsports lid while doning the intake. Now it feels stronger above 4000rpms. Im guessing that the lid and intake contributed 50/50. The money and effort of upgrading the intake isnt worth it on a stock motor. I still have the stock manifolds and cats so that might be inhibiting the gains from the intake.

When I get a job, its will be time to install the mms229 cam. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />
