THANKS ? Don't you think a 6 Speed manual would have came with at least a 3:42? I am wondering if this is how they came from GM or has someone done a manual/auto swap? I am looking for something a little newer perhaps a 2002 with a 6 speed.Around my area it is a sellers market right now 98's to 02's are going for a very high price. I would like to find one with at least a 3:42 and would really like to find a 3:73 but no luck so far! My 98 is A4 2:73 and you can't really drive it anywhere with out a foot cramp. You know 60 take foot of accelarator when it finally slows to 55 tap pedal for 1 sec. or you have the blue lite boys on your 6.

It is really dependant upon what the buyer wanted for options. You could get any combo. of motor/trans./gears. GM is notorious for mixing and matching. You really have to watch the RPO codes and then it may not even be correct if someone did a gear swap or other mods.
