Thanks, they are closed til monday so I dropped them an e-mail with a bunch of questions. But I agree with you, the more I reasearch it I see how Billingsly would have a better price for what my needs are. Know anything about the Trach-Tech locker systems that come in them?

They are the most famous locker systems (same as Detroit). Personally, if you drive on the street much, get 31 spline "soft" locker. From what I hear, it drives quite a bit better than the regular locker. And the 31 spline is plenty strong. You won't break that rearend unless you are running rediculous fast. Billingsley has amazing customer service as well...everything I have heard about them is good.

They dont list an option for a soft locker, is it something you have to call about?

FYI - The "Tractech Locker" IS a "Detroit Locker". Tractech is the company that has always made the "Detroit Locker".

No, if you get 31 spline axles, it will be a soft locker as opposed to the regular locker with 33 spline axles. They only offer one type of locker for each spline IIRC. That would be something to ask Billingsley, but I'm pretty sure if you ordered 31 spline axles you would automatically get the "soft" locker.

Maybe not what you are looking for, but Moser, Strange, and Currie all make nine inchers for the F body.

Yes, this is what I wanted to know. Who sells their products or is it feasable to buy direct from them?

This is TT's pirce with what I want with the exception of the Auburn posi, I'd really rather a soft locker but didnt see an option.

- Spline 31 Spline
- Gears 4.11
- Exciter Rings Pressed (4-Channel Yes
- ABS Setup 4-Channel ABS & TCS
- Rearend Cover Aluminum Case $2,285.00

+$100.00
+$100.00
+$155.00

Sub-Total: $2,640.00
EDIT-Just got off the phone with them there's a $25.00 charge for the locker option

Ok so is there any issues with Gear set up from Billingsley? Gear Whine, bad wear ? etc. I was looking at there Street package with Moser Bolt in housing and Strange center with 31 spline locker and 4.11's. Any comments? I am local so hopefully they will allow me to pick it up. How does this rear compare to a complete bolt in moser rear from Speed Inc?

Thanks,
CMC

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure Billingsley doesn't set them up for the most part. They are setup at Strange, where the center section is bought from. Can anyone else confirm this?

I got an E-mail from Billingsley this morning. All I got was that the centers are nodular iron and the lockers in the 31 spline option is what is considered a soft locker.
