Default disabling pass. airbag?????

Anyone know how/if possible to disable the passangers side front airbag on 2002 z28? I have a kid I that may need to use that seat on occasion but their too young(i.e. under 13 years old) to sit in an airbag equiped seat safely. Thought maybe I could pull a fuse or something. oh yeah, the back seat is gone. Not sure if this is the right thread, but maybe you guys can help.

P.S. just in case anyone got the wrong idea, NO Im not going to race or do anything stupid with a kid in the car, this is just for driving around town.

Its probably safer just to put them in the backseat then. Car seats fit too.

He said that the back seat was gone.

Back in the early days of airbags, people were having their dealer install a switch so that they could turn the airbag on or off. You might try calling yours and asking the service manager.

or you can pull the fuse for the airbag when you're not using it (or put your own switch in for this)

I'm not sure what the policies are on dealers putting the airbag "kill" switch in ... My dad's an automechanic and flat out refused to install this in any ones car at the dealership he works at... too much liability and in this sue crazy world people would probably go after the mechanic too
