Default Wheels for M/T tires

I have 17x11's on rear now of '02 TA. I've got a bad *** mod bug and I know traction problems are just around the corner. The new Mickey Thompson Drag Radials are getting glowing reviews.... It seems the best launches are on 15x10 or 16x10 wheels. The 17" MT doesn't fit the (my) 17x11 rim properly.

15x10 = Grind Calipers ?
16x10's = Grind Calipers ?

What offset or backspace with these wheels ?

These are the tires I'm looking at ( 26" tall):http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/s...et_radial.html

Thanks for any help!

I just got a set of MT 275/17s on my ROH 9.5", they are 11" wide the same size tire as my Nitto 315/17s on the same rims, while the BFG 315/17 drags are 12" on those rims. The MT 275/17s would probably work fine on your 11" rims. If you go with 15" rims you need 15/10 with 7.5" backspacing. If you keep the 17s you`ll keep 26" dia, which keeps your gearing the same, if you have 28" dia it hurts your gearing but you need that with nitrous or blower. I also bought a set of Weld Alumastars 15/10 w 6" backspacing with MT 325/15 drag radials, they stick out of the wheel well about 2" not good, so I need to get 7.5" backspacing for those tires.

I'm just using the stock 16.x8 wheels on mine.
