Installed Flowtechs today
Installed a set of flowtech LT's with GM metal gaskets, and ORY. The ORY had been cut where it meets the I pipe so I couldn't bolt it up to the exhaust, but man does it sound wicked with open exhaust! It took me, with breaks 6 hours to complete this job including changing plugs to TR55's. It didn't take long after test driving to throw an error code, well no crap, the cats are gone! I can't wait to get my new PCM and ls1edit to start optimizing it! It seemed like it made the idle even worse, now it idles up, then almost dies, then up, then almost dies, like it did when I first installed the hot cam. Is this because the comp was reset from having the battery disconnected and has to re-learn everything? Any positive feedback will be greatly appreciated!!!

Well, I found out what my freakin surging was... broken porcelan around the rear DS plug, replaced it with a new TR55 and it's perfect. Got my Y pipe welded and slipped it into the I pipe today through my 80 series flowcrapper. Sounds SWEET and MAN did the headers make a HUGE difference with my combo vs stock manifolds and cats! I cannot believe the difference. MY MT ET Street radials 26x10.50x16's show up tomorrow, and I get the setup tuned the best I can with the predator tuner, until I get ls1edit, I'm hoping to run 12.20-12.30 @ 115 MPH, as I ran 12.76 @ 111.16 MPH on street tires with stock exhaust. Wishful thinking, or reality?

I bought LS1edit along with EFIlive and am getting rid of my predator. Now what? I'm thinking of building a 60-1 T4 setup for it with 1.15/.60 and 3"/2" for a low-boost setup. Buddy of mine is one hell of a fabricator. I just don't feel that somewhere around 375 RWHP is enough, honestly, I don't know what I'm putting down, but not enough, regardless. Let me know your opinions. Are stage 2 heads really worth the cash with my type of setup, or is forced induction the way to go, bang for the buck?
