like on a really stout h/c package, what kinda compression can you get away with safely on a stock bottom end? 11.1? 11.5?

somebody i know is makin some changes and he wanted to know.
this is assuming good tune on high octane with alot of timing of course

thanks guys

There was a car locally stock bottom end heads/cam @ 12:1 It was an accident. The machine shop decked the heads twice. It ran on 93 octane for over a year with no issues that I saw...

My old heads/cam was 11.5:1 and ran on 93 octane as well.

I ran 12.0:1 on a stock bottom end. It ran fine until the summer heat rolled in and I didn't pull back timing for pump gas.
