Default Trex track results......BAD

Probably something that none of you want to hear, but here we go anyways. I went to the track to test out my new Trex Cam yesterday. Well it did not go over very well. My first run, I launched at 3500 big mistake car bogged and almost died at the line. Ran a 13.1 on a 2.6 60 foot. 2nd run launched at 5000 lifted the wheels an inch and then bogged but not bad 1.8 60 foot ran a 12.1 @ 115.

Mods at the track Mt et radials 16’s and everything in the sig the tires were brand new and I had never launched on them before.

Now for the horrific part. I went for my 3rd run of the day. I get to the line and decided I am going launch at 6 and see what happens. Figured I would rather spin then bog. Well I did neither I snapped my Iron 3rd member in half. I am not kidding. I will have someone post picture so you can see what I am talking about. So looks like the car will be down for a while.

So much for 9"'s being industructable

Must've been a manufacturing defect I suppose. I personally run a strange iron center in mine for the last 4 years and its seen quite a bit of abuse

I busted my friend's 9 inch housing also. This is with his AFR 195 cc, 233/239, stock bottom LT1. The front of the housing snapped right off!! We thought they were indestructable too. I want to see how bad yours looks. I did his on the street shifting to second at about 7100 rpm.

Damn, you guys are putting some serious abuse on those 9" rears to snap them like that! That, or they might have been improperly set up.

The rear itself was properly setup...professionally. However the driveshaft was eventually found to be .030 off center. Not sure if this contributed to the problem, but it could not have helped.
