No shouldn't your 60ft isn't good so it might help ya from spining so much if it an issue is it an A4 or M6?

some 3.73's, drag radials and a good burnout should get your 60' times down.

Why do you think they are a mistake. I have been thinking about dropping from 4:10's to 3:73's. I like the 4:10's but mine howl and I am thinking about redoing them and maybe going to 3:73's.
A little extra gas mileage also wouldn't hurt as this is my daily driver.

IMO and experience at Fayettenam, I had to shift into 4th with 3.73's too near the end and it hurt my et and trap speed. I did better with 4.10s and, like you said, was near redline in 4th. When you break these, go back to 4.10s and work on hooking up.

depending on your exact MPH you expect to hit.. maybe you should consider a 9" ford, 4.53's and 28" slicks...

I went from 4.10s to 3.73s, no change hardly diffrent at launch, better at the end, and less whining.

i hope it will help me out i will find out tomorrow. remember i am stock internals with every bolt-on and stock tune. my goal is 12.00 or better. i know nos will get me there but not ready for that yet. really its not much difference until i go into 4 gear it does not top out as quick as it did with the 4.10s.

the 3:73s will definitely help your 60 ft but may slow you just a little at the end of the track
