will going to 373's from 410's hurt my et and mph in the quarter mile?
i have a 98 ta with all the bolt ons and i just recently broke 2 teeth off my ring gear on the 410's. i'm wondering if i go with 373's will it hurt my performance? best et to date is 12.52 at 113 with 2.05 60 ft. thanks any input will help

thanks for the replies guys have the 373/s in now they do not seem as good as the 410's but i guess the track will tell. i think i have made a mistake but i will see

Why do you think they are a mistake. I have been thinking about dropping from 4:10's to 3:73's. I like the 4:10's but mine howl and I am thinking about redoing them and maybe going to 3:73's.
A little extra gas mileage also wouldn't hurt as this is my daily driver.

IMO and experience at Fayettenam, I had to shift into 4th with 3.73's too near the end and it hurt my et and trap speed. I did better with 4.10s and, like you said, was near redline in 4th. When you break these, go back to 4.10s and work on hooking up.

i hope it will help me out i will find out tomorrow. remember i am stock internals with every bolt-on and stock tune. my goal is 12.00 or better. i know nos will get me there but not ready for that yet. really its not much difference until i go into 4 gear it does not top out as quick as it did with the 4.10s.
