Question on cleaning heads...
I bought a set of ported heads that only had a few k miles on them. I took the exhaust valves out so I could clean up the port. Then put the valves back in the same spot that they came from originally. Someone told me I need to put some sort of material on the valve seats and rotated the valves now to make then seat propertly. Is this required or even recommended for our engines?

go to oreileys or autozone and buy a valve lapping kit for under $10. It's basically fine grit paste used to ensure that the valves seat flush. I had to do it in a set of heads that were cleaned. Clean up is actually the most time consuming, at least it was for me. chris
