Default Does changing rear end gears change rwhp?

I'm going from 3.42's to 4.10's and I know the car will be quicker. I just wanted to know if my rwhp will drop any?

All depends on what type of dyno you are using. Some dyno's just measure rpm over time.

Dave, you won't believe how much you'll like this change. It jumps a M6 car into it's power band so much quicker, 5th and 6th gears are actually practical now, and for the big performance gain, gas mileage suffers very little. Don't worry about HP gain or loss w/4.10's...no victories come on dyno rollers--only at the track...WJ

I would go with 3.73's. I roll around with Nitto drag radials and I still pulverise the tires just flooring it from a 20 mph roll. It gets old really quick.

second that.....

with a small/smaller cam that builds torque low, it is hard to get traction even with 3.73s........

now if you go crazy and do a cam that won't make peak torque till 6K then you will want LOTS of gear.......I went 4.56 in my 12 bolt.....I can finally idle around parking lots in 1st gear again.......
