Question probably a stupid question about n2o

Im looking at doing a full build up on my car this fall/winter, heads, cam, tranny, suspension, rear, bottom end, and n2o.

my question is, when i get my heads done i want to get the compression bumped up to about 12:1. if i go with say a 150-200 shot will i need to have lower compression or is it ok to run higher compression and n2o at the same time? its probably gona be a direct port system using a FAST intake or similar.

High compression and nitrous are a great combo, you'll be fine with the right tune.

what he said. it's all about the tune and the gas you use with compression. there are lots of people on here running 14:1 compression with nitrous. my new motor will be 11:1, that's just because I want to be able to run pump gas (91 octane in CA).

so if im understanding this correctly then, even with this as a power adder (as long as I beef up my bottom end) i should be able to run a decent sized shot? thats good news. I am wondering if it has to do with the n2o reducing the charge tempuratures thus reducing the head pressures? and eliminating detonation... im probably getting realy far ahead of my self... hehe
