Anyone had this wheel stud problem??
I just had my axles (Moser 33-spline) machined out for my new 5/8 studs. Well now my wheels don't fit. They are VERY close but just won't go. They slide all the way over the threads but once it gets to the smooth part of the stud where the wheel sits they stop. The wheels holes are definately the right size so thats not the problem. I'm guessing the studs were machined just a hair off. Any suggestions short of new axles? The only other possibilities I came up with were, drill the wheels a little bigger, like maybe a 1/32 of an inch would do it. Or I could slightly grind a small spot in a couple of the studs for clearance too. Has anyone had this problem The guy who machined them already offered to buy new axles if he had to, but he is a buddy of mine so I'm trying to not go that route right now if I don't have to.

You can send the axles to moser and have them redrilled in between the existing holes (unless they are star flanged), I always have 2 sets of holes drilled in mine, 5/8 and 1/2"
If you open up the wheels they are worthless, I have never had to do that and I have used 5/8 studs on a lot of cars. Just send them out and get them done right.
