please help F.A.S.T. LSX intake
I was told to get a F.A.S.T. LSX intake 90mm and tb. only thing i have on my car is headers, rocker arms, ASP underdrive pulleys. Someone told me that it will run like **** because of the fast 90mm lsx intake. i need to know ASAP to send them back. thanks

and whoever said that 90mm is too much air for a stock motor......i guess all those fellas that see 15-20hp gains on 346ci LS1's just got lucky huh?

You will be fine and as you continue to modify engine it will just get better. Their are a lot of old ideas about tb size left over from the carburator days when keeping the airspeed high through the venturies was crucial to fuel atomization. Port injection is much more forgiving in this area as the sensors and computor tell the injectors how much fuel to inject. Factory ls2 engines all have 90 mm tb and they are only a few cubic inches larger than your engine. We have your setup on an 02 camaro and it works great.

stay with it......the ls6 manifold is nice over the ls1 but the lsx intake will net more power than the ls6. Personally, the 78mm fast is not worth the cash but since you have the 90mm, you'll only see great things when you future mod your motor. with the right tune, expect a crispier throttle response, smooth idle, and whe you add the s/c, cam, h/c...watever, the gains will be twice as nice than over the ls6!!!
if anything, if you dont want to modifiy the tb which you are probably gonna have to, send it back and get yourself a Nick Williams 90mm......no problems there..
good luck!!

90 mm intake and t.b. is too much for a stock ls1. if u do get them make sure you tune car now and then again if you had a s/c or head and cam. by just changing maf to slp maf you lean out the car more than you think every mod should be done with tune in mind. if guys do their homework they will see the true numbers. just my opinion of what i have seen at work(g.m. service tech.). but gl anyway
