Default Which Cam Is Better

WHAT DO U THINK WOULD BE THE DIFFERENCE IN POWER BETWEEN THE 230/224 .575/.563 111lsa AND THE 230/236 .590-.598 112LSA

id guess the 230/236 would make 5 more rwhp than the 230/224. not a huge difference.

I was considering both, but then I decided on kind of a combination of the two... the 236/230. It has the same durations as the 230/236 but on a reverse split like the TR230. It also has higher intake lift @ .602"/.575". I'm still waiting to install it, but from what I've experienced, it's good for about 10 hp over the TR230. Good power band, at 2400-6800RPM, and a decent LSA at 112. Can't go wrong with any of the three. Thunder cams kick ***.

Hey bull,
can you explain why you went with the reverse split? I went with the TR230/236, and the day they decide to ship it I will have some numbers for it.

Sure. I went with it because it's not as common for one, and I don't like having the same gear as everyone else, but that's the least significant of the reasons. From what I have seen at least, reverse splits seem to put down damn good power for their size...example, the TR230 puts down over 400rwhp on stock heads, and a lot of cams in the 220/230 range can't do that as easily, yet alone put down such a nice torque curve. I also like the torque curves from the reverse splits I have seen, and how they work with stock heads. As long as you have good exhaust (free-flowing) reverse splits are awesome. Only downside is that they're not the best for large (150+) shots of nitrous.
