Experiences with ET Street Drag Radials
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am trying to chose what to do with my clubsport in terms of tyres.
Choosing between 275 x 17 ET streets and the 235 x 15
I have some 17 x 8" rims i could use with the 275 x 17 some people say they are OK at the track on 8" rims and other people say not to. If it is not OK i will need to get some 17 x 9 rims to suit the car and they seem to be not cheap.
If i go with the 235 x 15 i can easily get some cheap rims.
I am of the belief that with our IRS rear ends that the negative camber that occurs on squat causes most of our wheelsin as our contact patch is reduced. So a wider tyre should help in this area (especially if its soft).
So i have two main questions.
1/ How does performance compare between the two tyres?
2/ Will the 275s go OK on a 8" rim?
