Default rims for slicks questions

I'm going to the englishtown swap meet saturday. I in the market for some 16 inch rims for slicks and skinnies. what offset, backspacing, etc will clear my brakes and body without having to grind my calipers. I want to run like a 27 or 26x10.5. The car is an 01 ss. any input would be greatly appreciated.

thanks alot,
Jim

It will be difficult to find the wheels you are looking for to go on the front. As far as the back goes, Weld made a XP version of some of their more popular drag-style wheels. Do a search on them, as I do not remember all of the specs right off hand. I do know that if you want 15", a 10" wide wheel with 7.5" of backspacing is sufficient. As far as the fronts go, there really isn't alot of choice for backspacing on a 3.5" wheel. I think 1.75 is pretty standard. But, I could be wrong. It's happened before.
