I had mine off for about a month on my 2000 Z28. It backfired a little but not too much. It just made a mess underneath the car. It was descently loud, and it seemed to add a little hp. Got annoying really quick!

did it back only when you rev up and lift off or did it do well racing and stuff? I have mine off right now but my car isnt really street legal right now, gotta get front bumper, fenders and hood, and windsheild and the frame pulled so its just sitting, it sounds good sitting but it back fires when I rev up around 3000 and left off.
