Valve train specialists - are stock lifters ok with these parts?
I've got a question for the valvetrain vendors and other specialists:
I'm using crane 144832 duals with a crane 228/232 cam in my 6.0 and my machine shop who did the heads weren't sure about using stock gm lifters. They set up the springs while I had some other head work done. Will these work for me? Rpm wll be kept to 6500 max.

GM stock lifters are pretty stout pieces and can take a lot of abuse. Ive seen guys running some big cams all the way up to the TREX on stock lifters with no problems. If you have the heads off you can change them out to be safe if you want, I would just because the fact that the heads are off and you can access them. Good Luck

The machine shop who rebuilt my heads couldn't get the proper installed height for the springs and the seat pressure was too high. They called crane's tech line and the engineers there said that everything should be OK where the springs sit now. I just don't want there to be a problem if somethimg breaks and the crane guys may find a way not to warranty anything if they see one of the valvetrain parts is not theirs. I think I'll use a crane lifter to go with the rest of the crane valvetrain. That way if there's any problem nobody can say I haven't matched parts according to the manufacturer.
