Question Who has had an SLP pulley for awhile??

I just received my SLP pulley, and it appears to be a finely machined piece of work.

However, it's not painted on the front surface like the picture!

I just checked the outer ring with a magnet, and it appears to be conventional steel, not a stainless steel.
Without a coating, I can't see why it won't begin rusting.

Anyone who has a SLP pulley on their cars, especially a daily driver, are you seeing the front of the pulley rusting?

Should I spray paint the pulley?

Thanks!

Default

some stainless steel is magnetic, just depends on the amount of carbon in the steel.
ive seen some of these go for a while now with no rust. and i live right down the street from saltwater.
the pulley isnt painted in the pic. thats either a shadow, or just a glare from the flash on a camera?
good luck.
they seem like a nice piece.
summit racing has a pioneer(powerbond version (prolly who makes the slp) its only 149.95 in their new catalog!
