Biggest tire on stock 16 ?

Biggest tire on stock 16 ? I have a z28, 16in 245/45/16. and I am going to a drag radial. Could I put a 255/50/16?? what are the biggest I can go?

The stock 16X8 wheel (which came with 245/50/16 tires stock) will hold the 255 tire just fine. Never tried anything any bigger than that though. But I can say with 100% certainty that a 255 will fit that wheel.
