Default Flywheels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok Apparently Flywheel Out Of Silverado Is Not Interchangeable With Ls1 Engines?! I Have A 4.8 And I Am Putting A T56 In. I Have A Fidenza For A Ls1 But It Will Not Work. Starter Will Not Line Up. Apparently Crank Shaft Is Different. If Anyone Knows Of A Flywheel For This That Is Light Weight Let Me Know Please!!!!

That sucks! I just found my t56 and am going to pick it up this weekend. Are you getting this info from heresay, or did you actually try to match it up. I don't remember (reading) 1trueSS using a diferent flywheel.

I also responded in the other thread. But 1 true SS did an auto swap. and he picked up a flywheel I think of a Z06. 6 gear basicly started with a manual so he might have changed the flywheel, but do not know. What year is your truck. I think 99 and 00 had a diffrent crank, but the diffrence might only be on the 6.0 of those years, I cannot recall.

I have a stock LS1 steel flywheel that will not work due to the crank. The starter will not match up. I am going to try out my stock flywheel for the truck. However my clutch, pressure plate and slave cyl for a T56 looks as though it will work. Waiting on bellhousing so I can put it all together. If all goes well, the only other problem that I may run into is the reverse lock out.
