Default Whats your pinion angle in relation to level ground?

I know this isn't the best way to do it, but I just want to mak sure I'm close. When I installed my Spohn TA, I measured the angle on th tailshaft of the transmission and got 1 1/2 degrees to left of zero (from drivers side). So I set my pinion up as 1 1/2 + another 1 1/2 degrees to right of zero. But now setting on the ground, I checked it and it's like -7 1/2 degrees in relation to ground! I think it did it wrong LOL If the transmission is pointing down 1 1/2 degrees in relation to ground, shouldn't the final pinion angle in relation to ground be real close to zero (with -1 1/2 degree down angle included)?. For me to try for 1 1/2 - 2 degrees of negative pinion angle, should I just go from the ground for now?

By the way, I don't think it really matters here, but the car is lowered 2".
