how bent does a pushrod have to be to mess things up?
I missed the 3-4 shift at the track the other day and tried to put it into 2nd.
I am pulling the pushrods now on the passenger side, thats where the sound was coming from and I found a push rod with a slight bend in it, I havent rolled them yet but it is visable just from holding it.
Is this enough to cause problems? or do they have to be like super bent.

dang i figured harder was better
I guess I could just send them back once they get here then get some stock replacements from GM, the only PR i found online were the Chromoly ones exept on GM parts direct. they want 163$ for a set of 16

it is not how bent the rod has to be to mess thangs up it is how messed up thangs are to make the rods bent you might want to check the valves make sure none are bent it is possable valve hit piston to cause your trouble

with the Chromoly push rods and upgraded valvesprings, that should be ok correct?Do you mean miss a shift again with chromoly push rods and no new valvesprings?Im getting an all new SB built and am going to get new chromoly push rods AND valve springs, that fine right?
