Default Hp Tuners

WHat exactly are these Hp Tuners and what do they do. How many horses can you get from them on a 6spd Ls1.

HPtuners is like LS1Edit...it's very versatile tuning software. You can change many different parameters in your PCM such as editing fuel trims, timing tables, disable engine codes, shift points, etc. If you get the right people behind the computer screen and your car on a dyno, you can get 20+ HP on tuning alone.

Ok but there shoild be some shops around here where you can get it tuned instead of actually buying one right.

HPTuners is also a scanner/data logger. You can run it at the dragstrip or just cruising around & see a heck of a lot more about what the car is doing. I find it extreamly useful for recording my runs at the track. You can see things like when knock retard is on, what timing/fuel parameters the VCM is hitting the motor with & such.
