Default Pro Stick VS. Pro Ratchet shifters?

Which one are most of you guys using? Going with my TH350 swap and just ordered the pro stick, but it seems alot of people went with the ratchet. Any reasons why?

Personal preference really. I love gate shifters, but my wife likes ratchet shifters ... so we got her a B&M Quicksilver. It is like the Pro Ratchet. She is very consistent with it and it is very easy to use, just pull (TH400 RMVB) on the stick for the next gear.
