Default What kindah paint for rear end..

Im waiting on my strange 12 bolt rear and was wondering what all yall using to paint the housings...thanks

i used about 5-6 coats of rustoleum industrial gloss black

came out pretty good

Looks good. However if thats an iron center section you might want to paint it also!

ya see i was dumb, and thought it looked really nice like that, and now 6 months later i have a beautiful shiny black housing and a rusted to hell center and t/a bracket

I really like that black/silver look... If I choose the aluminum diff cover I could go with that approach, right?

at some point or another i may take it back out and sandblast it and clearcoat it

Why paint; powdercoating the housing is usually around $100 and the finish lasts so much longer. As far as colors go, you can have the powdercoater put any combination of colors on the housing.
