Problems with Hydrolics
I have a '98 SS with about 40,xxx miles on it that sits in the garage about 90% of the time. I took it out last Friday night and it drove perfect. The next morning I was about to leave to go to a show, and I had no clutch pressure.
The first logical step was to check the resivoir, and it was okay. Then I used the magical Search button here on tech, and read about the mityvac. I figured there is some air in the hydrolics somewhere. I spent 4-5 hours throughout the week bleeding the clutch and the pressure never gets better. It just keeps pulling more and more air out.
Is there known problems with ~98 hydrolics or anything I am not aware of? I just find it strange that over-night I lose almost all clutch pressure.
FWIW I will want to replace the clutch sooner or later, so would now be the time to replace the clutch and the hydrolics all together?
Any help would be appreciated...
Thanks
