Cam Going In, Valvetrain Questions...
I'm putting in a little baby cam for the time being (MTI T1). Had some questions on the valvetrain...
Comp 918 springs, stock retainers, stock rockers, stock lifters, stock length hardened pushrods
Does all that sound OK? Mainly wondering if stock retainers are OK with the 918 springs, but also if the rest of the stuff should work OK together. Not going to be spinning this thing through the roof, maybe 6300 shift points with a 6500 limiter. Thanks for any help.

You can use the stock retainers, but I'd bite the bullet and get the titaniums. I think they make a tremendous difference. Holding one of each in each hand amazes how much lighter the titaniums are. JMHO.

Well I'm working on piecing together a set of heads for the car, and I am purchasing seperate springs and Ti retainers for those heads when I get ready to put them on the car so I can do a straight swap over, so eventually Ti will make its way onto the car, but right now I'm doing a little budget build because I'm too impatient to wait to get the cam in, so 918s w/ stock retainers it is.
