Default Clutch Slipping or Normal

I've noticed that if I shift quickly (not a power shift) from first to second at about 5k rpm, when my foot is fully off the clutch pedal the clutch slips for about 1 second before it fully hooks. I've tried to get it to slip while in gear, but it holds well. Is my 2001 OEM clutch on the way out? What's normal life for an OEM clutch on a car with with only minor mods, and an occasional second gear scratch or a few runs a year at the strip?

You can probably nurse it around for a while longer if you don't gas on it. When it starts slipping while in gear, then you are very near the end.
