NITTO DR 315/35/17 on 17.5 SS wheels
Have any of you guys done this ? If so how does it fit, look, and function? Please let me know as I have already bought them. I did not realize that they should be mounted on a 10.5 rim.

Follow manufacturer's recommendations. This is a subject I do not encourage. . .
Has it been done, sure there are careless installers out there that will do it. IMHO, defeats the entire purpose of buying a 315 section tire, if all you are going to do is curl up the sides, thus having less tread on the ground.
Your car, your choice. If it were me I'd buy the correct sized tires.

275s mount perfectly on a 9.5" wide rim, but is ok on a 9" rim.
stock SS rims are 17x9", btw.
