Default Bell housing

I am doing a clutch on my car(99 Ta)and I can't get the bell housing off. I have the 8 12mm bolts out but it won't move. Am I missing some bolts?

i forget how many there are, there is one way up top that you should check, with the engine leaning against the firewall you can feel it but you cant see it unless the tranny is out, other than that nothing else holds it stick a screw driver on it somewhere and bump it a lil, mine came right off

The bellhousing sticks to the dowl pins a lot. You may need a pry bar to get it off. 8 bolts is right.

First time I had mine off (at 47k miles, to replace stock clutch), I had to beat the absolute **** out of my bellhousing to get it off. I removed the starter, put a 2x4 there, and started hammering. Pretty much destroyed the 2x4. I used anti-seize when I put it back together (after mildly sanding the dowels).

I got it off. Took some beating and shaking but I got it. The one big pin was a little rusty.

Thanks guys
