ten spokes into 35th anniversary wheels
I have a spare set of silver painted ten spokes lying around in my apartment and plan on stripping them to get the polished look sometime in June. I decided to not only do that but to also paint them to look like 35th anniversay wheels.
My question is, has anyone painted a polished aluminum wheel without problems? I don't want to have to scuff the aluminum to be able to paint them. If so I'll just leave them polished.
I was also wondering if after I polish them if I could just clean them up really good, spray a base coat primer, then apply the gloss black, and finally spray a clear coat over them to seal them up? Any help would be appreciated with this project.
