Default Battery problems!

OK my car goes away from January or first snowfall until May. How do I keep the battery charged while it is hibernating? Any other storage tips would help? I'm only asking now because my battery seems to be dead maybe the alternator as well.

charge the battery back up, then take it down and have it tested. Takes care of the problem there, it is either good or bad.
as far as the alternator, once you get the car started, put a voltmeter on the battery and see what voltage is going to the battery while car is running. Should be above 13 volts.

just dont leave any capacitors hooked up and it should last. a charger would work too...
