18* Brodix
Has anybody ever used the Brodix 18 X series heads? They say they use regular 23* parts, no offset shaft rockers or offset lifters. Just wonder if they are any good.

Speed,
I have not used them but have seen them. The valves are not as spread, which won't allow as big a valve to be used, the flow #s aren't much higher than a good 23* head.
But in most instances, you will still need pistons. IMO, I don't see them being worth the money.
Honestly, switching to 18s isn't going to gain unlimited perf potential, my heavily worked Bowtie 18s only flowed 334 @ 700, now the mid lift #s are impressive, but when weighed against the expense of making the switch........
If you are building from scratch, and funding is available, then I would look at a set of the Trick flows, or All Pros.
Oh, don't forget headers too.

Just looked at the flow numbers on brodix site and I see what you mean but what caught my eye was the dyno test they did. These made 65 more hp over their fully ported track 1 23* heads and fully ported these 18* heads made over 100 hp more. I knew you would still need different pistons and intake but these come in standard or spread port so you could use regular headers. Here's the link http://brodix.com/18STDX%2618SPX.html
