Default nitrous help quick

i am currently running a 85 wet shot in my buddies 00 firehawk with 14 degrees of timing pulled. i have been reading on here people pulling much less timing and having no KR. should i give the car some timing back for the 85 shot. i will also be doing a stand alone nitrous system with its own fuel pump and fuel cell to hold racing fuel. i plan on running a 200 shot through that setup. how much timing should i pull for that setup and what type and gap should i use with the plugs.

What do you have done to the motor so far, other than the nitrous??

wow that is a ton of timing retard for such a small shot. With 85 no timing retard should be needed, just run good gas. And if you need a tps window switch for saftery we have those also.

Is this boost or not?

Standalone stuff see Nitrous Outlet I saw his fuel cell that 383 installed looked pretty cool.

the motor has a titanium valvetrain other then that the internals are mostly stock. i know that it seems like the timing is extremely retarded (lol) but that is what the performance shop around here said to do even though i have been reading different.

ok i apoligize for misleading you guys its not my car so i was going off of what was told to me but i just got it straightened out. the base is 7* retarded and at WOT it pulls 1* for every 1000rpm beginning at 3500rpms. basically it is pulling 9* of timing at 3500 and above on a timing tuner box. BTW there is a tps switch on the car.

with the timing it has now it dynos at 385.9hp and 432tq at the wheels with the perfect air/fuel. the curves are 3200-4800rpm. so it seems like the car is getting the full potential from the nitrous.

Every car is different.I have seen cars leave tuned for nitrous with 24,26,29 degrees of timing.THe best way to know is to moniture the car for knock.Pulling to much timing can be just as bad as not pulling enough.14 degrees is deffintly to much...

Check out our dedicated fuel systems. They are the best way to go!!!
