Default Nitrous and Timing

Hi Guys,

Hopefully you all can help me out here, I own a 01 Vette, only mods are lid, full exhaust and a small cam, and of course nitrous( waiting to hook up) I just want to know how big of a shot I can do comfortably with damaging anything. I want to run a 150shot but I dont know what it will do. The 100 shot will be fine, but I want to know, Can I get away with doing the 150 a couple times with out retarding the timing? By the way its a wet kit.

Thank you for all your help and feedback!

J.T.

I am going to "assume" you had it tuned when you installed the cam, and changed the stock timing. What's it set at now? Stock timing should be be fine for a few 150 runs.

I had the problem of detonation with a 100 wet shot. My timing was way too high, around 29-31. I scanned my buddies 99 camaro and it was only 25 when he sprayed. So, I lowered the timing to 26 when I first start to spray, I have not tried it yet, hopefully in the next week.
