About all This Converter stuff
OK I'll post this in here this time. I am going to buy a 3200-3400 stall converter haven't made my mind up as of yet. but here the question, I have. Is a Converter for about 500 bucks a good deal Bang for the Buck. Who has noticed diff in ET times. Will it help me and how much. My mods are in Sig Same with my best ET times. And Sense I odn't have a high stall Converter how much of a Diff in Normal Driving will I notice I'm not going to be upset with how it drives on the street am I. I Have done alot of research on this and only asking you guys becuase you have done this before. I put a 2400 stall in a buddy's 94 Trans Am and I was not impressed with the Diff it made. Thats why i kinda wanna go to like a 3400 stall. Thanks for any comments guys

You should be able to cut your 60's real nice, if you can get traction. You may want to make sure get have a good idea on how you are going to be using the car ( i.e. daily driver, track only... ) For a daily driver, you could probably get a looser one, but it' s all a matter of opinion. I like my SS3800. I haven' t been able to get back out to the track, but I have high hopes. Good luck

If you can get tractions (need good tires) your 60' should be very nice. A converter is an excellent bang for the buck mod, on average people gain about a half second in the 1/4. Go AT LEAST 3500 rpm on the converter.

I daily drive a vig 3200 i got used/restalled for $400. Best 400 I spent on the car. I get high 1.60 60's on et streets and a best of 1.80 60' on street tires babbying the throttle out of the hole.
I have 10k on the converter, no issues with it or the transmission other than adjusting shift points from time to time to avoid hitting the limiter(98 issue)
