Default 4.10 Install Help

I recently got my Motive 4.10's from Thunder Racing as well as a T/A Cover and a solid pinion spacer. I'm looking for a detailed step by step install for gears, can anyone point me in the direction of one? Also is there a way around grinding the pinion gear on Motives? Does anyone have experience with solid pinion spacers and installing them? Thank you

Bowtie, you probably have an auburn diff.

LS1TORQ, you can mill down the paddle block instead, thats what I did. I believe i milled about 1/2" x 3/16" from one end to sneak past the teeth.

Hey thank you Guitsboy and Bowtie. What instructions did you use on your install. I'm just worried b/c I know how important it is to install gears perfect for strength a and long life.

I didnt use directions exactly... I just winged it. I got lucky cause I got my pinion depth correct on the first try (stock sized .035 shim), and I simply reused the factory carrier shims. Since I got lucky and got everything dialed on my first shot, the install was easy. My contact pattern was perfect and I had a nice and tight .0065 backlash, which is silent even still (25K miles later).
