A/C specs...? high/low side pressures, etc Hi,
Anybody out there with a service manual? Can you look up the A/C specs for a '00 fbody? I don't know what all info there is, but I would think high and low side pressures along with the amount of R-134A (lbs) would be listed.

Ya want the high side around 190 to 210 idling and 25 to 35 on the low side. When the high side gets to 250 the high speed fans come on and bring the pressure back down and the low runs all the time the ac is on. As far as volume never really go by it just go by the pressures because ya never no for sure how much of the freon acctually when in the system! Hope this helps!

If the system has been vacuumed, it holds about 1.5 pounds, at least according to the sticker on my (original) air lid. But yeah, you probably should go by the pressure readings.

you have to remember,the pressures will vary with the ambient air temps.your not likely to get 25-35psi on the low side on a very hot day.and make sure your radiator and condenser are clean when you take your readings,if they are dirty the condenser can't get rid of the heat properly.
