finally raced my brother in law's scS2000 from a dig, first run was at 10mph, 3 honks and i get the jump on him about half a car i grab second he drops to my bumper and stays there i grab third and he's still there, we shut it down, he said i jumped to soon, and that he started to inch up on me.... second run from 15mph 3 honks he gets the jump i'm at his bumper, i grab second gain half a car back then we shut it down due to traffic, last run was from a dig he said he wasn't going to launch hard because he felt his clutch slipping, well anyway light turns green and i hear him rev up an he spins them i thought oh **** i better go hard i take off and he's about 1 1/2 cars ahead, he grabs second and his back gets alittle sideways, i'm thinking good i got him, i grab second hefty chirp from the tires, through second i get to his bumper, i grab third and i pull to his door then he shut it down. he said his clutch started to stink. i had his *** he said he felt me coming.
we are going to run again this weekend, he's getting lighter rims and sticky tires. i'll keep you guys posted...

good luck. my buddy with a sc one ran a 12.7 in the qt. whats the gto running?

haven't had mine at the track yet, but i've heard 12.8-13.3's. i'm not thinking about putting nos on the gto, just some bolt ons then maybe a blower when i get the money but his s2000 is fast, i really have to run my car hard to pull or stay with him
but its nothing a few mods won't fix

Next time you run, ask him to get a passenger, like Rosanne Bar or Kirsty Ally... that should help.

any extra weight in his car slows him down, if i were in his car as a passenger and someone drove my gto, the gto would murder him

Good I am glad to see a GTO beat someone. Everytime I read a post in here every stock f-body destoys the 05 GTO. The last one I had I dont remember it being as fast my LS-2. Good luck and by some nittos.

i know what you mean, no one can ever loose to a 05 gto. i saw a post a guy claims he raced an 05 gto from a dig put 2 cars in first then 3 more in second, he had a 2000 z28 m6 with a lid intake and exhaust. it takes much more than that to put 5 cars on a 400hp car when your starting out with about 305hp........lets get some real street races please

Wow i thoguht that the SC S2000's did alot better then high 12's. I thought they did mid 13's stock? I obviously havent looked ina import mag in a while! Good kill man!

he hasn't taken it to the track yet, so we don't know what his times are. but with dr i think he could easily be in the 12's, but i do think my gto is a tad faster

Base hp was rated at 305, but like all LS1s, the car is really making 350hp/375ft.lbs of torque (assuming it was a healthy LS1).
And the GTO is significantly heavier than F-bodies unfortunetly.

yeah the gto's are pigs, but the ls2's are underrated also. and stock for stock are faster than the ls1's.
