Default Camaro Tail light Covers

I have a black 2001 camaro.

I want some of those slotted covers for my taillights. I have read that the covers can melt or warp your tailights, but those have been for the blackouts, does this still happen with the slotted covers?

Only two brands that I know of, gt styling or avs. I can get both for the same price. Which should I go with? Do they both install with tape, or does one use some other method?

Also from what I understand, gt styling uses a sticker, while avs stamps on their logo?

The slotted covers should not melt the lights. I had the GT styling covers on mine (they do use a sticker, that I peeled off). With the solid plastic covering the entire lense, heat gets trapped underneath it and dimples the lense, which mine are dimpled (took two years). I am thinking of switching the taillights to the 93-96 lights cause I didn't have that problem before with my old Camaro.
