White smoke after heads were pulled
Let me start by saying that this is a 350 in a 1990 G20 Conversion Van.
I bought the van for a song and it is in great shape but it had a burned valve in #7. It actually ran pretty good but had a little miss. I pulled the heads and replaced the intake valve in #7 and all of the springs (this is why the valve burned, weak springs). Put everything back together and started it back up and it stated blowing white smoke. Pulled the plugs and #1 was soaked in antifreeze. Pulled the intake back off and replaced the gaskets again (the intake port was soaked). Started her back up and after it warms up, it starts blowing white smoke again. Pulled all of the plugs again but this time there is no sign of antifreeze, they all look good.
Now I'm at a loss, where is the smoke coming from? Could there be so much antifreeze in the cat and muffler that its going to have to just burn off?
Thanks
Doug
