12 bolt question???????? Might sound stupid, but i dont know much about rears. My buddies dad has a couple 12 bolt rears out of chevelles and i was wonder if u can fit them to a LS1?? Can u use the house and put new guts in it??

Nasty i'm in the process of getting a new rear aswell. From what i've gathered it's not worth going that route. Between mounting the torque arm and the other necessary options "3 channel or 4 channel". It just seems like a waste of time to try to do one custom stlye. Besides there are many drop in replacement suppliers. hope this helps
