paint front bumper?

paint front bumper? well I had a minor incident last night and scuffed up my front a little bit. No dents or structural damage, but the paint is scratched up a bit, and there is also a crack near the fog light(1 inch). is it worth buying a new front bumper, or get the one i have fixed? Is there anything I can do to reduce the cost(besides not be an idiot?)

I have a post up in the Parts wanted section, but I would still like to try to fix it. I do have experience with sanding stuff and painting, but never on a car.
